Note biographique
Michael Blum est un artiste vivant à Montréal depuis 2010. Parmi ses projets, on compte A Tribute to Safiye Behar, un musée dédié à la maîtresse secrète de Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (9e biennale d’Istanbul, 2005), Cape Town - Stockholm (On Thembo Mjobo), un livre et une pièce radiophonique relatant l’enquête sur la relation complexe entre l’Afrique du Sud et la Suède (Mobile Art Production, Stockholm, 2007), Exodus 2048, une mise en scène d’un futur possible au Proche Orient (Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, 2008 ; New Museum, New York, 2009), et Palazzo Chupi, une réflection sur la convergence de l’art et de l’immobilier (Optica, Montréal, 2015). Il est professeur à l’École des arts visuels et médiatiques de l’UQAM, Montréal. www.blumology.net

Biographical note
Michael Blum is an artist based in Montreal since 2010. His projects include A Tribute to Safiye Behar, a museum dedicated to the secret lover of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (9th Istanbul Biennial, 2005), Cape Town - Stockholm (On Thembo Mjobo), a book and a radio play investigating the complex relationship between Sweden and South Africa (Mobile Art Production, Stockholm, 2007), Exodus 2048, which staged a possible future in the Middle East (Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, 2008, New Museum, New York, 2009), and Palazzo Chupi, a reflection on the convergence of art and real estate (Optica, Montreal, 2015). He is a Professor at Ecole des arts visuels et médiatiques, UQAM, Montreal. www.blumology.net
