Mens: revue d'histoire intellectuelle de l’Amérique française was founded in 2000. This semi-annual learned journal is dedicated to Quebec, French Canada and French America history of ideas and culture. Mens' field is intellectual history in its broadest definition, including the history of intellectuals' doctrines, of various organisations' (such as unions and political parties) ideologies, as well as ideological movements such as feminism and nationalism. It also includes the history of the numerous institutions mediating ideas, either, for example, the literary and journalistic publishing community, the Church, or the school and the university. Finally, the journal's scope also includes historiography and epistemology of history.
Since 2011 (vol.12, no.1), the journal's new name is Mens : revue d'histoire intellectuelle et culturelle.
